Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • Basmati rice 1 cup


  • Sugar 1/2 cup


  • Ghee 2 tbsp


  • Saffron 6 to 7 strands


  • cloves 3


  • Cinnamon sticks 1 small


  • Green cardamom 2


  • Raisins 1 tbsp


  • Almonds 8 to 10 chopped


  • Yellow food colour 1/8 tsp

Directions

  • Boil 1/2 glass of water with sugar and saffron strand and a pinch yellow colour for 3 minutes, keep aside
  • Heat ghee in heavy bottomed pan and add cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon stick.
  • Now add 11/2 cup of water in wok, when water boils soaked and drained rice and cook till 80 % done.
  • Add sugar syrup,Raisins,chopped nuts,
  • Cook on low flame covered with lid for few minutes or until done.
  • Garnish with nuts.
